• Previewed in the New York Times!!!

The New York Times did a write up about a show that I’m in called TripTank. It’s airing on Comedy Central on April 2nd. I’m the writer responsible for the Ricky the Rocketship sketch, which you’ll see featured in the article. Joel Moser directed the piece. My voice can also be heard in that and in a few other sketches. Plus, I wrote/directed/acted in/produced sketches for episode 8 as well, which I will link from Comedy Central’s site once they air.

I’ll link the sketch after it airs. But for now, check out the article by clicking on the picture below!

Television has been full of serious programs about science and space lately, but Ricky the Rocketship appears not to have been watching.

  • AutoCorrect Fails

    Hey everyone!

So at the end of last year, my friend Jay and I (along with some other good folks like Chris Cataldi and Rebecca Lumianski) put together an animated short based on Auto Correct fails. You know them: when you send the wrong text because Auto Correct tries to adjust for what it thinks you’re trying to type. I adapted it from an actual Auto Correct, directed, and acted in it as well. And a great deal of credit belongs to the extremely talented animator and background artist Shelley Low! Enjoy!

  • New Convenience Store Diet Animation Up!

There’s no better way to kick off the new year than with an R-Rated animated short from yours truly! It’s the first short that I’ve done for my comic Convenience Store Diet in two years. You can expect to see more in the future, too! Now, without further ado…

  • New Commercial Voice Over Demo

Hey everyone. I’ve got a new commercial voice over demo! It’s been a few years since I updated from my last one. And in that time, I’ve booked a number of VO jobs that made it into this one. So, without further ado, please enjoy!

  • Outlands

My latest project is Outlands, an animated series from Adam de la Peña, creator of Code Monkeys. Plot: The reckless crew aboard the Titanic II scours the outlands of space, eradicating native species on planets to make room for mini malls and condos.

The series also stars Felicia Day, Dana Snyder, and…. me. Yep, I play Ben, the male nanny who finally gets his chance to be a soldier in outer space.

If you were a fan of Code Monkeys, you’ll probably like this one. It airs weekly for the next few months on Geek and Sundry, Felicia Day’s Youtube channel. Check it out!

  • A Brain Divided

When I was first contacted to perform as the main character, John (and his brain), for this piece, I looked at it like, “Yay, here’s another VO gig! Animation, yay! It’s done by some students, so I’ll do my best to give a solid performance and help these guys out with their project.”

Honestly, it’s me who should be thankful to these guys. Because what they gave in return was this phenomenal piece of 3D animation! Honestly, just a handful of people did this and it’s something I consider as good as what’s nominated for the Annies. TL;DR: Whoa, it’s awesome!

From the moment I met Joon, Joon, and Josiah, I could tell that these guys were dedicated and into their project. They were new to the field but, based off their animatic, they had something really good going on. And I really wanted to give these guys everything they needed to animate with John. Those awkward stutters. Those silly improvised lines (jazz hands). The sincere moments that we see at the end. Nuance and variety. And with the brain, it was about communicating intentions clearly and believably without lines. Only mumbles. Quite the contrast to John.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun to work on and I hope you enjoy it as well. Take a look:

  • Convenience Store Diet Vol. 3 Finished!

Quite a bit has happened in the past few months. Finished a film, went to Japan, finished Convenience Store Diet Vol. 3, and am now working on updating my voice over demos. Lots of stuff coming up!

But for now, enjoy a little video from my trip to Japan.
